Not as creamy & hydrating as expected. Thick, doesn’t spread easily, doesn’t look hydrating

This comes sealed in a plastic bag. Inside is the product in an outer product box. It’s made in France. It’s cruelty free (PETA certified) and vegan. It’s good for 6 months after opening. Ingredients are listed on the box.This is in a small plastic squeeze tube.I got this in “Dos,” which is described as a honey beige. At the time I got it, however, it was just “Dos” without the description. The product page only has the 1 photo of swatches of all the shades, but they weren’t labeled. I assumed “Dos” was the second shade (lightest to darkest). I’m pretty fair so usually go for the lightest shade, especially when there’s only a few shades, like with this (6 total shades). BUT with concealer type shades I’m much pickier. If I get a foundation, it’s easy for me to go for the lightest because chances are it’ll work for me and if it does end up being too light (which is rare unless the shades go really fair) then I can adjust it with bronzer, blush, etc. and can make it work. If it’s too dark, I can’t do that. So I’d rather it be too light. BUT with concealer shades, if it’s too light then it can look kind of grey where my darkness is at under my eyes. So, I like to get my concealer to match as close as possible. That’s why I decided to go with the 2nd shade instead of the 1st. It didn’t look too dark where it wouldn’t work. If they had the shade description “honey beige” at the time I got it, then I wouldn’t have gotten it and would have gone for the lightest. But it didn’t, so here we are. It’s a little too dark for me. To me, it seems about a half shade to a shade darker than it looked in the product swatch photo. (See my photos). But as a corrector, I can work with it. I just can’t really use it on its own. On its own, it does work as a corrector. It neutralizes the darkness under my eyes. But, it doesn’t brighten it because if looks too dark. So, I need to use concealer over it.This has a thicker consistency than I expected. In the product photo swatches it looked hydrating and creamy. Plus, the description said “illuminates skin,” “healthy natural radiance,” “youthful + super moisturizing,” and “hydrates skin.” So I expected it to be creamy and hydrating. While thick, it is creamy but not in a hydrating way. It doesn’t really glide onto the skin. It kind of thick, doesn’t spread as easily as I’d like. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t hard to work with. It just doesn’t feel as creamy and hydrating as I expected it to. Hopefully, you can tell in my swatch photo how thick it looks and kind of dry…and that’s just 1 small tiny dot (the same amount as the dot before it). I have pretty dry under eyes. I need something that’s creamy and hydrating but I also want it to stay put. There’s a fine line between those. If it’s too creamy and hydrating, it just kind of melts away throughout the day and/or creases like crazy. But, if it’s not creamy and hydrating enough, then it just looks and feels too heavy and dry under my eyes. This is a kind of middle ground. It stays put once it’s on, but it doesn’t feel or look hydrating or illuminating, super moisturizing, or give natural radiance like it described. I think it’s more matte really. It works well under a hydrating concealer, even one that tends to be a little too creamy. It helps one that’s too creamy stay put. It also works well with a perfect creamy and hydrating concealer (that will stay put but also be creamy and hydrating). I don’t think this works well with any kind of matte concealer (semi matte and especially full on matte). With any concealer that leans matte, this just looks way too heavy and dry under it.Overall, I don’t know if this is for me. I don’t know if I got a dud or what. Other reviewers seem to like it. And, in their photos of the product, it does look creamy and hydrating like the product swatch photo did. So, it’s possible I just got a dud. Or, maybe it just doesn’t work well with dry under eyes and is for those with more normal, combo, or oily skin. I don’t know. It has nice pigment and coverage. If you don’t have dry under eyes, it might work well for you. It might work well just on its own without a concealer over top if the shade is right. For me, it just isn’t really working. I give it 3 stars.

Not my favorite but is pretty nice

I like the matte stay-put power of this. I would consider this medium coverage, builds somewhat but not to well over 2 layers imo. I don't think it helps much texture wise, it didn't do well over dry/flakey skin nor over oily/moisturized skin alone. Could see the bumps under my eyes and accentuation on the dead skin I should probably exfoliate immediately, seeing this texture made for a kind of crepe-y effect (not dewey). Maybe it needs a primer below? I did notice settling in crevices, guessing this is since it's medium coverage so pigment is seen built-up/deposited in wrinkles since the skin above is only medium coverage and unless it's an exact skin match you'll see?I will note, the skin color variety is extremely limited. I probably could've used uno but it surely would've been brighter than my natural tone but maybe that's best for brightening under eyes/dark spots etc. Dos seemed way too yellow undertoned which is common problem I find with foundations vs. my skin, and tres seemed to be the same tone just warmer red undertoned. Maybe a color in between would've been best, tres worked OK but definitely was ever so slightly darker than my tone and more a red flush (as if it'd been recently rubbed or burnt). Hopefully come summer this will be useful on more tanned skin?Docked a star for the limited colors and the texture accentuating effect. I think I need to look for a more dewey foundation to use with this and I generally like my concealer to be high coverage.I'm not sure I see the "value for product" yet for my personal budget. Based on the market and my frugality, I'm unsure yet if it would be a definite re-purchase. I will certainly update in the distant future if it is. First impressions, will update if I find further benefits or issues w/ more use in the future.

Highly Pigmented Clean Beauty

I already have the Oat Milk Foundation and really liked the look and feel, plus very minimal clean ingredients. This Creme Corrector is highly pigmented, so a little goes a long way! I've actually worn this as my primary foundation over sunscreen. I apply it with a mini foundation brush and am surprised at how good it makes my skin look and long wearing. It's more semi-matte finish. I only wish there was a greater color range as the color I got is a tad lighter. Still it looks great.

This has great coverage, excellent color-correcting choices/shades, small tube w/lots of pigment! The formula is not irritating my skin. I searched for some color/shade names and what they might be. Flax seems the best choice. I have a cool-neutral complexion, and I love this! It is light but has enough coverage on my medium skin to be a concealer. And wow, this formula has an impact on the effects. When I want a more natural look, I can apply it to only spots in a way that hides marks and dark circles to get that look. I use this and gently blend outward in those places.This stays put; to enhance this, use a good primer and a regular makeup remover when it is time.This is highly gift-worthy. You will be giving a superior product that seems too small, but I assure you that this is worth more than I usually purchase.Enjoy!
