It might not always be that obvious, but our skin is always layered with loads of dead skin cells. As they collect before falling away, they can make the skin look dull and dry. It can also clog pores and sometimes even cause itching for some. That's why it's important to use a good, safe facial peel from time to time.This is a good, safe facial peel for most users. Although those with sensitive skin should patch test this before using on their entire face. That's because it's acidic and somewhat strong. Though it is strong, it is gentle enough to not burn or cause any sort of damage to the skin for most users. If you do find it to be a bit too much for you, just rinse your face with cool water and it will stop the peeling action and rinse the substance away. I personally had no problems or other irritations at all from this, other than that I had had a very small cut on my finger that did sting a little while applying this to my face. Not badly at all. Just enough to notice. Sort of like how it would feel if I were squeezing a lemon on my food and it got into that cut.There is a smell to this. To me it smells like weakened apple cider vinegar. I could clearly smell this while applying, but not so much while wearing. It is recommended to keep on your face for 1-3 minutes to give it time to do its job. Then rinse away with cool water. Honestly, I used warm water because I was cold and it did not cause me any problems in the least bit.After all was said and done, my face looked brighter and felt a lot softer. It was extra clean and had a healthy natural glow.Probably good for most skin types, although proceed with caution if you have sensitive skin. For those with problematic skin, this should be very good, though do be aware that if you have any open blemishes, it's going to sting. If you can deal with that, I would think that this would be extremely good for you. Good for both men and women alike, as well as all adult age groups.

I use actives six days per week, in the morning and at night. The highest acid percentage I've tried is 30% (wash off), but since then I've moved on to 25% and I don't wash it off (I let it sink in for a while, then do my moisturizer, oil, etc). (I don't recommend this, BTW, because you can cause a lot of damage if your skin can't handle it.)This particular product doesn't actually say what percentage of actives it has, which normally I assume that it's not enough, so I move right past it. However, this one's description intrigued me, and it seems to be a reputable brand, so I decided to try it.I'm so glad I did!The instructions say to put it on clean skin and leave on for 1-3 minutes, depending on tolerance. Then, wash off with cool water.I washed and dried my face, then put 2 or 3 (I forgot, I was so excited to try it) pumps into my hand, then spread it all over my face and neck. It was drying pretty quickly, so I wouldn't try using less - you'll end up tugging on your skin.There was an instant burning sensation, but it only lasted a few seconds. I was so happy, I could immediately tell that it was working.After 3 minutes, I washed it off, but I used warm-ish water because it was a really cold morning.When my face dried a minute or two later, it felt wonderful! It's like when you first dermaplane your face and it instantly feels so much smoother. Or, like someone just peeled off a layer of my old skin and left me with nothing but softness and smootheness.Just to clarify - other than the initial burning sensation, there was absolutely no pain or redness or anything like that. But, keep in mind, I'm very much used to actives.This product is really steep at about $85 per bottle, but if you want a fantastic peel and cost is not an issue, get this!!Also, make sure you always follow up with a good moisturizer.After this, I would try any of Dr. Goldfaden's products.<3
