This makes it so much easier to get the hair out of my brushes. The handle is comfortable to hold and this is very easy to use. When I use it on my paddle brush, it works perfectly. When I use it on my boar-bristle brush, it’s a bit more difficult. It still gets the hair out, but the bristles on the cleaner bend. I have to hold them in place to get it to work properly. They are plastic, so I assume they won’t take their original figure once they’re bent.

This brush does just what it says. It was super easy to clean out my brush that was filled with hair and dust. The handle is smooth wood and easy to grip, the bristles are stiff enough to get in and comb out all the hair and dust. This is a must have for brush maintenance!

We usually use the end of a rat-tail comb to help get the hair off of our brushes. However, even after clearing the hair out, there are dust particles left in the brush that have always bothered me. I thought this tool would be an all in one to remove hair and dust but I was wrong. I thought the handle would be long and narrow allowing for it to work like the rat-tail comb and go underneath inbetween bristles to lift the hair off the brush. Instead the handle end of this is thick and large and really just a handle. The bristles themselves are not suitable to remove hair as the bristles are just not stiff enough. I ended up removing the bulk of the hair using my rat-tail comb anyways. This brush did, however, help remove all the little dust particles left on the brush. In this way this worked really well and there was dust flying everywhere. However once I was done, the bristles looked all mangled after only 1 use.Overall this is not great at removing hair and I found the rat-tail comb much easier to do this with. However, for removing dust from the brush this is great.
