Great for wavy hair glazing!

I recently discovered I have wavy hair, so I went on the hunt to find products that would help me style it. So many people recommended the Curl Talk Line, so I took the plunge and ordered some! I use these two items and the mousse when I bowl plop my hair and diffuse it. The results are touchable and soft waves with a nice cast. I love these products and I love how well they work for my hair!

Works well but not all ingredients are safe

This a custard and edge control gel combo came in a sealed pack. Below are my thoughts after using the custard.Pros:-The custurd is light, has a jelly-like texture with a mild flowery fragrance.-It defined and held my short hair curls well. I applied it to my damp hair.-Stayed on well for 3-4 days.-Easy to apply.Cons:-My biggest concern is that it contains carrageenan (which is not good for health) and hence I don't plan to add this product in my routine-Doesn't condition the hair but defines the curls-On my second day, I started seeing powder-y thing on hair- I had some difficulty washing it off

Works for my waves!

This bundle from Not Your Mother's comes with both the Curl Talk Edge Control Gel and Defining Gel Custard.I have wavy to very lightly curly hair in some spots. I found the Edge control gel to be a little too much for my waves but the Gel Custard is perfect for helping shape and define my waves. I have found it is easy to use too much product. I have had the best results applying following the bowl method in combination with the custard.I have been using the edge control gel with a spoolie to smooth out my flyaways when I have a ponytail.

Better than Expected for my Curls

First, I have to mention the brand's name: Not Your Mother's. Not that it matters too much, but why not your mother's? Is this a disrespect to mothers? Is it because this generation pays more attention to ingredients? Is it because mothers of adults had stupid hair? Is it because kids supposedly used their mother's products until they were old enough to pick their own? I looked online for their story in relation to this, and I didn't come up with anything. I know I'm weird for wanting to know the story behind things, but I'm a storyteller, so that's where my mind goes. ha!Now, onto these products. I like them! The custard is a gel that leaves a tad bit of crunch (alongside control), but I am able to press the crunch out for the most part. It smells nice and works well.I didn't expect to like the Edge Control, as it feels sticky and heavy, and my curls are light and frizzy. It is an unusual product, but I love it! It's like putting hairspray on small sections, leaving a nice texture and keeping everything in place.I've tried other Not Your Mother's products (two texturizing sea salt sprays and kinky moves), but my favorite is the Edge Control, just because it's such a weirdly wonderful product.
