For reference, I have fine, dry hair but "a lot of it", per every hairdresser I have ever seen. The underside of my hair is curly and the top is straight, a change since I had my babies. So I have used this a few times as a pre-shampoo serum, hoping I can get that moisture without the weight that conditioner gives to my hair. Unfortunately, it did not work for my hair type. I think because I have so much hair, it made it difficult to remove it all and ultimately my hair just ended up looking greasy. I think it may work best for fine, thinning, dry hair. It smells VERY strongly of cloves so if you hate that scent, avoid. I personally love the scent and may use this only on the very ends of my hair just so my hair smells like cloves all day.

I was drawn to the idea of a pre-cleanse hair treatment but try to only use non-toxic & clean beauty products, so I loved that this was not only organic but filled with natural ingredients that were clearly listed on the product page (yay for no harmful chemicals!). I have never tried a pre-shampoo serum before, only hair masks and hair oiling, so I can't compare this to other similar serums. However, compared to hair oiling and hair masks, I can say that this serum is a lot more convenient to use because it's less messy.It comes with a little pump, and I do 2 pumps onto my fingers and massage that onto my scalp, and then I do 2 more pumps and use my fingers to comb that through the rest of my hair. I clip my hair up loosely with a claw clip and let it sit on my hair/scalp for about 30-40 minutes, and then shower and shampoo it out. As compared to hair oiling, I like that this oil/serum is not as thick, and I was impressed that my scalp seemed to absorb most of it before I got in the shower. It doesn't leave a residue on your hair like oiling or using a mask will when they dry before you wash them out. If I only use a couple pumps, I find that I don't need to use a clarifying shampoo like I would if I was hair oiling, but if I use more of this serum, then I will need to use a clarifying shampoo or else my hair feels like there's product left on it. I do like to leave this on for longer than the instructed 15 minute minimum, because it doesn't seem to completely absorb if I leave it on for less than half an hour.As far as its ability to promote hair growth, cause less breakage and increase the thickness of hair, it's too early to tell since I've been using this sparingly over a few week-span. Also, though I love that there's no synthetic fragrance or perfume added, the smell is pretty strong and in my opinion, unpleasant. I'm not too bothered by it, because again, I try to avoid having heavily perfumed products, but since this is a strong peppery scent that I don't like, I only plan on using this as a pre-shampoo serum as opposed to a leave-in oil once my hair is styled (which is another suggested use of this serum). The scent is very easy to wash out once I shampoo.Overall, I like that it seems to absorb well, is non-toxic, and does leave my hair feeling a little softer than if I just shampoo/condition my hair. No adverse side effects as of now, but if anything changes (or I do notice positives like new/thicker hair growth and less breakage) then I will update my review.

As I applied the Zatik hair serum yesterday evening I thought I may have pushed my "see what happens and review the product" a bit too far. I just had my hair colored with highlights and was concerned that this serum might was out some of the color. The serum is thick and feels oily but does spread reasonably. I didn't douse my hair in the serum but did apply some on all of my hair. The serum stayed on my hair for about 15 minutes and then I washed and conditioned my hair. My hair definitely felt moisturized and still does this morning. My hair was more manageable and was easier to style. The highlights and color look much better than they did before using the serum. I am pleasantly surprised with the results of this serum and will definitely be applying it to my hair regularly. Great Product!

Wonderful organic Argan and black seed hair serum. If I use one pump on my fine hair, the oil does not make my hair too limp, so I will add a pea-sized amount of moisturizing gel to get more lift and texture. I tend to put hair products onto the hair, forgetting to avoid the roots. My hair often sticks to the head, and there isn't enough lift at the roots (in those cases), so I must be cautious. This serum moistens my hair. It is a leave-in product. There is no rinsing. The curl looks so good in my hair, so this has dual benefits.This is easy to wash out with shampoo. When you add a hairband or something else extra to a gift bag, it is even better. It is an excellent item of value. I look fine without it, but the softness this brings is lovely. I highly recommend this.Enjoy!
