Lemon scented shampoo

This shampoo is thicker than a lot of brands I have tried but comes out of the bottle easily and has a wonderful lemon scent. This company sells matching lemon scented conditioner, which is also recommended.

Cuts through the residue left on my hair from hairspray and leaves hair soft

I have baby fine hair that just goes flat in hot, humid Oklahoma summers, so I have to use hairspray to keep my sanity. This shampoo always gets rid of any hairspray residue without stripping my hair. I have used it for years. It smells nice, lathers well, and rinses clean. Avalon Organics is a clean brand, so I feel good about using it.

" The scent is kind of funny, like a cleaning type of lemon

I am conflicted about this shampoo. First of all, I have long, dark blonde, and oily hair that used to be colored a lot but has since grown out and returned to a state of "normalcy." The scent is kind of funny, like a cleaning type of lemon. The scent reminds me of a natural cleaning product you would use on your counter tops or appliances. Does that make sense? It is not a bad smell but it is a different kind of lemon smell than what I was expecting. It does get rid of the buildup and oil on my hair but I think it is verging on stripping my hair. When I wash the shampoo out, my hair squeaks when I run my hands down, which I hate having the squeaky clean feeling on my hair because it feels stripped and stressed. But the shine!!! Oh my gosh my hair is so shiny and soft after using this stuff!! That is why I am conflicted.Loves: shiny, soft, organic, effective at getting rid of buildupMeh: funky lemon scent, squeaky clean feelingDon't let my review stop you from trying it, though! Someone else may love it :)
