Korean Snail Mucin Face Mask - Deep Hydration, Natural Rejuvenation - 96% Snail Extract, 10-15 min

This is the first snail mask or any product I've used made from snails so I wasn't sure what to expect. First of all, this is a large jar for a face mask which I was happy about. Opening it I thought it looked like thick honey and yet it smells like a citrusy floral scent. It is thick and sticky so it feels a little odd rubbing into my skin but it does rub in after a while. What really surprised me was that the mask feels warm on which I found really relaxing.Another thing about this is that I can wear it while sitting down instead of lying down because it doesn't drip or run. This means I can apply it and still do whatever I need to making it more convenient than many of the other masks I've used. This mask leaves my skin feeling soft yet firmer which I am very happy with. I'm so glad I decided to get this even though I wasn't sure about using something made of snails.

There's no tackiness to it, it goes on smooth, doesn't smell overpowering at all, soaks in fast and leaves skin like I spent all afternoon at a spa or somethingI'd recommend this to anyone looking for that "glow" you get after using really, REALLY great skincare

I’ve used this a few times so far and I’m really impressed with the results. The procedure is a little different from most skin care I’ve used before. Rather than simply applying and rinsing after a few minutes, this has you rubbing it in for about 60 seconds before allowing it to sit undisturbed. This stuff is sticky and gooey and it’s not the most fun to rub in to your skin, but the benefits are intense. The first time I tried this, I put it on only one cheek so see if I could notice a difference. It has an intense, yet pleasant, scent, that remains until you rinse it off. After a few minutes though, I could no longer feel it on my cheek (so it felt rather lightweight after application. Once I rinsed it off, wow! That cheek was soft and smooth and well moisturized. AND it remained that way for several days after use! So, now I use it on my whole face and love how soft my face feels. I don’t personally notice much difference in appearance.

It’s a nice size jar for the price. It didn’t have any type of tamper seals or foil under the lid - just to note. It looks kind of like buckwheat honey until it hits the skin and then it’s slick and slippery and a little goes a long way. I think it has more snail mucin than I can tolerate as it gave me a slight rash. I’m allergic to dust and a lot of times people with dust allergies have a reaction to snail mucin. It’s not a fault of the product in any way. My husband can use this mask without any issues. If you aren’t allergic to dust this is a nice mask to try.

I really enjoyed using this mask. It looks a lot like honey in consistency and color and has a light herbal scent. I spot tested it on the back of my hand a few days ago and couldn't resist dabbing the leftovers on a blemish near my mouth. I liked the way it felt, it seemed to take some of the inflammation away from the blemish, and after rinsing off there was no reaction on my hand or my cheek. So I did a full facial mask today and left it on for 10 minutes. It really only took two dips of the mask gel on my fingertips to cover my whole face with a decent layer. It felt soothing going on and I could feel a slight but pleasant tightening of my skin. No irritation at all. I went and sat on the couch to watch TV until my timer went off and there was no worry about the mask sliding off or dripping. When I went to rinse it off, it felt like it had absorbed a little bit but was still sticky on top and not dry (I did not expect this type of mask to dry at the end of the treatment). I wet a washcloth and gently wiped off my face and the mask came off with no issue after only two light passes with the washcloth. My dry face felt nice and smooth and I applied eye cream and, in keeping with the fact that this product uses snail mucin, I put a snail mucin gel from another brand all over my face. When I first found out about snail mucin, I thought it was gross, but I really like what it does for my skin. I figure that what the snail secretes to protect its tender belly as it scoots along the ground is probably some potentially good stuff to put on skin. This is a nice sized jar for the current price of about $17 and will last me a while, since I only do a mask once or twice a month. I'm definitely looking forward to using it again.
