This is one of my all time favorite sheer builder gels. Unfortunately when they changed the bottle design, they also changed the formula and now it doesnt last as long. For some reason, the product shrinks over time and will start to pull away from the tip of the nail, exposing the regular nail tip/extension and poses risk to a full separation or breakage. The old formula lasted 3-4 weeks with no chips or lifts on the edges, the new formula MAYBE 1. I will still regularly use this product and I love the colors but this is the most disappointing part. I read the reviews, I knew what I was getting into. The colors are transparent and beautiful, the texture is really thick so it’s a MUST to let it sit in warm water before using it. I can use the polish to make short extensions (for like a broken nail) and it does self level to create the apex. What I truly hate about these polishes is that no matter what you do or how thin you apply them they will ALWAYS be sticky, you need yo put on base coat if you want to use a color gel on top of it or even just a decoration. The absolute worst it’s when you are going to remove them, as soon as you take off the top coat it will be sticky again, and when you try to soak them off, it’s a gross gooey mess. Crazy, surprisingly easy! I am not the best at filing and only had an old used up file (so excuse the poor shape I was working with what I had.) SNS isn’t adhering to my nail bed like it used to so I am hoping this is a comparable, inexpensive, at-home solution. TBH even if i only get a week out of each mani, it will be worth it for the protection and clean look. I don’t mind changing the color or refreshing the “set” especially considering the savings! I was a little worried when I realized this set didn’t come with a top coat but it cures shiny anyways. I feel like the bottles won’t last long because they’re smaller than avg polish bottles and the product is so thick. I didn’t “warm” mine and it went on fine. I am excited to play around with it & already have other products from this brand OTW 😂

This is a really great product! I had no prior experience with builder gel but I was able to use this easily by following a few YouTube videos. I’ve used soft gel tips, poly gel, dip powder, regular gel polish alone and this builder gel seems to have the best bond to my natural nails. This picture is after a fillin that went really easily. I use dehydrator and primer beforehand. I don’t use a base coat before I start. I go in with a thin layer and then use the float method to build the nail, then the first cure. 10 seconds at a time to reduce heat. (The fill didn’t burn at all)If you need to shape the product after all cures, wipe with rubbing alcohol and then file down with a hand file or drill. Then add top coat.I’m super happy I finally found something to make natural nails grow with that “natural” look to them.Here I’m using 150 and modelones top coat.I was able to use a dual form to build a small nail on the nails that needed some length. Those seemed to hold up better than the nails that had product all the way to the free edge. Make sure to seal the free edge with 2 layers of product to account for any filing or shaping later and top coat!
