This is a fun temporary hair color. It was really easy to apply and dried quickly.It didn't leave a gross crunchy texture, which I loathe. like that AS I AM, came out with a color gel for curly girls trying to keep their hair as natural as possible with minimal chemicals and not a permanent color so washes out doesn't transfer which I like, not like with the wax and can be used in the summer and don't have to worry if you sweat it will run good product

I thought this would be good to cover my Grey's in between color. And it did work in a sense but it felt very temporary-ish because it transfers. I slept with a bonnet to prevent it from ruining my pillow case. It was ok. If I rubbed my hair it would have a film of color on my hands after

The As I Am Curl Color in Burgundy delivers on the vibrant, head-turning shade I was hoping for! The color really pops and lasts until my next shampoo, which is fantastic. Plus, the medium hold gives my curls great definition without feeling crunchy.However, I did find it a bit messier than I expected. Despite thorough rinsing, there was some color transfer, so I’m glad I used my designated “color-safe” pillowcase. If you’re okay with a little extra cleanup for the sake of gorgeous curls, this vegan and cruelty-free gel is worth a try! 🌺🎨

This gets four stars for meeting expectations, for me five stars is something that exceeds my expectations, this meets my expectations which is still very good.I'm always looking for a way to color my hair without needed to bleach it or use chemicals to get the color to hold. This gel was pretty easy to use on my damp hair, had a nice neutral scent and it did deposit color everywhere I got the gel - once it dried I can see a few spots that I missed.WARM HINTS: You definitely need a cape and gloves while applying. While this came off of my forehead with simple toner, you do not want this transferring into your fingernails, neck or shirt. If you can air dry your hair you will have a better experience, I decided to go for it and try to dry my hair with a brush and hair dryer which was a mistake. My fine hair was now decidedly rougher due to the gel and difficult to dry. I added some light spray leave in conditioner after drying to tame the hair a bit and it did work. Make sure you place a towel behind your head wherever you are sitting, I had color transfer even with the dry hair.The color is nice and worked on my roots - both the wonderful white ones and the precious dark brown ones, the color is a bit different between the two but only really to my eye can I see the slightly lighter areas. I will definitely be trying a more unique color like the lilac, the burgundy is fine, but now that I can see it work on the light and dark hair I want to experiment.
