Plates are sturdy; cutlery is useless.

Love the plates but it's hard to use this cutlery. They are flat with no give so difficult to use with meats or vegetables. I suppose if you just want to spoon stuff into your mouth without having to cut anything they would work. But not otherwise.

Surprisingly Strong

These are way better than expected, major points that aren't necessarily addressed perfectly in the description: The plates are surprisingly strong, and, based on the weight (40g per plate according to my gram scale), the weight:strength ratio seems to be way better than paper / Styrofoam. In terms of water resistance: they're also water-resistant. Water repels off quickly and completely. I'm pretty sure handwashing a couple dozen times is possible, something that isn't really possible with paper or styrofoam.The utensils are also almost alarmingly durable; much better than the plastic garbage you'd normally get. They're actually good to the point of being usable - according to my gram scale, the forks and knifes can handle over 10lbs of pressure without bending or crushing. I can't be absolutely sure about the weight tolerance (gram scale maxes out at 5kg / 11lbs ), but this is still an unbelievable weight tolerance.Concerning economics, sustainability, and durability: well worth the money.
