UPCIRCLE Hand Cream - Nourishing Hibiscus & Shea Butter, Fast-Absorbing, Vegan - 50ml

Upcircle hand cream with hibiscus flowers, shea butter, Vit E, Vit A, grapeseed oil and marshmallow root came packaged in a paper box with a 2.6 fl. Oz. light green aluminum squeeze tube with a black twist off cap, no safety seal was underneath. The scent is floral smelling although instead of smelling like hibiscus I think it smells more like geraniums. The cream does have a stronger floral scent, is cruelty free and certified vegan.Sourcing the products from companies that would normally throw away the ingredients or used by products is a great way of reducing waste.The hand lotion is in a small sized container that can fit in your bag, you can travel with it or place in a drawer since it’s on the smaller size but I thought the smell is quite strong and tends to linger for a while.I have very sensitive skin and I didn’t have any issues with using this on my hands and feet. You don’t need much cream and it is slightly greasy until it’s fully rubbed into your skin but it does seem to make my skin very smooth and doesn’t seem to leave sticky or greasy fingerprints on everything that I touch either which is very nice! The only down side that I could see to this product is the smell along with the very small sized container it comes in, it’s quite expensive. I tend to put lotion on my hands a few times during the day and it wouldn’t take me very long to go through a tube of it.

I really like it that this uses a recycled by-product, but my favorite part about it is that it comes in an antique metal tube. Be worried, the cap for me was very difficult to get off and I had to use a tool because my hands alone couldn't untwist it. Maybe I had a tighter cap then normal, but this is my only experience with it. I like the smell of it and it has a shea butter base so it's really good for my skin.

I do like this lotion. The biggest reason for the 4-star rating is the price. It's just very expensive in my opinion. If it wasn't for that hefty price tag, I'd rate this a 5-star product.Pros:Spreads nicely. A little goes a long way with this lotion.It has a nice floral, hibiscus smell to it. If you're sensitive to smells, this could be a little strong, but I personally enjoy the smell.Although it has a bit of an oily feel to it, the oiliness goes away after about a minute after applying the lotion, leaving it feeling like softer skin.It's a great size for work. I bring this lotion with me to work as it fits nicely in my desk drawer. It's also the perfect size for a purse or school bag. It can also be brought on U.S. planes since it's less than the 3.4 oz maximum in the U.S. The travel convenience is really nice.Cons:The lotion is expensive. $30 is a lot of money for a 2.6 oz lotion. I can get 2-3 8 oz lotions from other stores for around the same price. It's a nice quality lotion, just hard for me to justify spending that much on such a small amount of lotion.The lid can be hard to close. The lid is a plastic lid on a metal screw so the lid can be a little hard to close. Once you have the lotion on your hands, it's almost impossible to close unless you wipe the lotion off of your fingers.Overall, it's a nice lotion! It's eco-friendly since it reuses the hibiscus flowers and my skin feels nice when I use it. I won't get it again, though, due to the price.

I've tried a lot of different hand creams and this is one of my new favorites. It is relatively thick but absorbs well into the skin. It doesn't leave any greasy residue but leaves my hands feeling soft and nourished. I like that it comes in an aluminum tube instead of plastic. The twist cap seems like plastic but it is a small part. There wasn't a foil seal on the top which seemed odd but it is made in the UK which may have different manufacturing and safety standards. It does have a strong scent so I would not use this in an enclosed space like on an airplane (even though the tube is less than 3 oz), or in a small office. I like the scent but it could be a problem for those who are sensitive to scents.
