Beautiful jar but itchy eyes!

I couldn’t believe how beautiful this jar was when I opened the box! I feel like I’ve heard about this brand before, and knew they were a tad expensive. This is my first time using anything from KORA ORGANICS though. The product itself comes in a sealed capsule which can be refilled to save waste. I figured most of the cost went into the pretty jeweled jar and refills wouldn’t be more than $20-$30…. WRONG! The entire jar is $54, and a refill capsule is $42. Still pricey. The cream is really rich and thick. If you use too much, it takes forever to absorb and looks white on your skin (it seems to emulsify as it’s rubbed in… so easy does it! A little goes a long way). I wouldn’t say I notice any drastic de-puffing, and my dark circles don’t improve right away. The skin around my eyes feels extremely moisturized though! This lasts all night and through the next day. By morning, my eyes have a healthy glow. I currently apply it in the evenings only, but could also apply it in the morning. Never feels greasy or looks too shiny. The only issue: my eyes have been itching SO BADLY! I don’t normally have sensitive skin, and don’t have any known allergies. I think one issue is the thickness of the cream: it coats my lashes as I tap it in, causing them to stick together or rub against my water line. Perhaps I’m also sensitive to one of the ingredients. Works better for me at night before bed (when I can just shut my eyes).I won’t be re-ordering since I get better results from my other two favorite eye creams (Youth To The People Superberry Dream Eye Cream, $48 & Caudalie Premier Cru, $79). The jar is so pretty I’ll definitely re-use it once it’s empty though!Hope this helps. ☺️
