I wasn't really sure what to think about this mascara before trying it because Catrice is a brand that I was not knowledgeable about. Apparently, it's a pretty well known German brand of makeup that's been around since 2004 and has been in the US since 2015, although I have never seen the brand in any of the stores near me.This lengthening mascara advertises that it coats every lash with a deep black "texture" and is infused with fibers to help lengthen and collagen to nourish your lashes. I found these claims to be true. It does lengthen my lashes and it did not clump on me (probably because it's not a volumizing mascara, as I find those tend to clump on me). It's also a true black, which makes me happy because I do not like mascaras that claim they are black but then they are really a dark gray.The wand is very long and the brush at the end is curved. I've never used a curved mascara brush (and I am in my 40's!!) so it took me a couple seconds to get used to it because I am used to "rolling" my mascara brush as I apply the mascara. With the curved brush, I couldn't "roll" it through my lashes. However, I ended up really liking the curved brush, especially for my bottom lashes. Two coats of this mascara worked great for me. The formula isn't too wet, nor is it too dry. But because I couldn't roll the brush over through my lashes, I did have to get more product on the brush to go through my lashes a second time.The tube this mascara comes in has some nice weight to it, making it feel like a premium product. The lid is gold and has a ridged texture, which makes it feel high end. It certainly doesn't look or feel like it should cost less than $10. I'm impressed and I would definitely buy this mascara again!
