Ceremonial Grade

Thus was good ceremonial grade mactcha. For a brand that I've never heard of before. I received this in a matcha ceremonial gift set I bought. It is not a pinnacle grade but it's not as low as culinary grade. I wish matcha companies would actually state what grade their matcha is. 200 under is Culinary grade. I have a grade 1111 pinnacle grade matcha from Magic Hour Teas. clubmagichour.com that is the highest of grades. They also carry a higher grade of ceremonial which is 700. I would say this matcha is below 700. It's Probably 500 grade. But I wish they would start stating the actually grade on each matcha. This had a slight veggie taste to it, but not bad.

Organic 100% matcha powder

The matcha powder is very dense and finely ground with a nice color to it. The bag has a good resealable function to keep it fresh as well as storage instructions which are nice because i never knew that you should keep it in the fridge once opened and use within 2 months. It also has great directions for use if this is your first time making matcha. There are educational QR codes on the back, but they are all leading to 404 errors on their site unfortunately.A little on the pricier side, but all real matcha is generally a bit more expensive. Overall its good quality matcha powder though. The 3.5oz pouch seems small but you can actually make a decent amount of matcha lattes with it and end up saving money over buying them at a coffee shop. (plus you can adjust the strength to your liking).I also love that this is unsweetened and plain. I've had other brands where the powder was sweetened or vanilla added such as starbucks, but this plain, organic matcha powder.

Great Tasting Matcha Tea

This matcha tea is a bright green color. It has a mild earthy flavor that blends well into whatever milk product you use. I have drunk this without and with oat and coconut ilk and this is the first matcha tea I have found that I can drink without making a latte.I use one a battery powered frothier for mixing the tea and usually use cold water since I’m drinking a latte. This is also the first matcha tea I have found that mixes completely. I do not have any tea residue on the bottom of my glass when I’m finished drinking my latte or even if I drink it straight. I have also used hot water to make this tea with the same outcome. I get a pretty decent foam as well. This tea is definitely worth the money and cheaper than some of the other brands.

Ceremonial grade is less bitter, better for straight drinking, cost to value is high

You generally get what you pay for in ceremonial grade matcha and the better it is the more they can charge. IF taste is the most important thing, buy the ceremonial grade from this brand as the cost is only slightly more than their culinary. You will notice it is less bitter. Is that saying it is the best ceremonial grade out there? No.... but for the price it just might be! Lookup different ways to prepare to truly enjoy the full range of unique flavors this can impart.... and if you still hate it... start throwing it in your smoothies or blender bottle with some protein, the full benefits of what matcha can add go far beyond even antioxidants and caffeine. In general 1tsp of matcha has about 70-80mg of caffeine, so dose according to your tolerance.
