After a couple of weeks of horrible sleep on my scorchingly hot, very expensive, and non-returnable new mattress (spring, not hybrid, but obviously has hot memory foam in it), I went search for a solution. After repeatedly reading that sheep's skin and wool toppers can help with cooling, I purchased this mattress pad in desperation. I simply cannot believe the difference in temperature regulation. The rave reviews here are accurate, imo. This cover is indeed very well made and has no odor. (Our house is fragrance free due to allergies and my partner has nicknamed me "the bloodhound" as I am keenly sensitive.) I am still a little bit warm, but the problem is now manageable, and a huge difference than before. This topper saved me from having to buy another mattress! Thank you, thank you!

I ordered this because I have been battling hormonal night sweats. I did some research as I was thinking about getting one of the contraptions that cools your bed either by fan or by water. They are expensive and seems a lot can go wrong, not to mention, I didn’t think I would like that much of a cooking sensation or air blowing on me under my covers. Seems that a wool mattress pad kept being recommended as the solution. I decided to try it, knowing I could send it back and it wasn’t as expensive as the other choices.Out of the package, I detected no odor. I was impressed by the design and quality-very, very well made and doesn’t look or feel cheap at all.On my bed, it is a great comfort upgrade! Nice and soft, but still firm. It seems to even out my pillowtop that has gotten low spots over the years and fits perfectly. As for temperature regulation, it definitely helps a lot. Huge difference from before in that I don’t feel this unbearable heat between me and the mattress anymore. It was a great purchase.

I have a Tempur-pedic mattress was sweating so much until I bought this

I am a highly picky person and I rarely write product reviews, but was motivated to write one for this. I have been using this for over two years (purchased in 11/2020) and couldn't be more pleased. I originally purchased it in a quest to find any and every solution to mitigate the miserable condition that afflicts women of a certain age. This product is the dope. Breathable and soft. I threw it in the washer today and amazingly, there's not a bit of shifting of the filling and it's still just as fluffy as the day I bought it.Allergenic: No issues. I have bad allergies to animal products and wool and no issues at all with this mattress pad.Odor: None when dry. There was a bit of odor when wet that disappears completely when dry.Cool sleep: Nothing cures menopause it seems, ever, (wil.this.ever.end??) but this makes for a more comfortable sleep.

I hesitated purchasing this due to the price, but am really glad I bit the bullet. This mattress pad appears to be of great quality and feels wonderful! The straps are interesting - large straps from the left to the right sides go completely under the mattress. It is lighter in color than it shows in the picture - I was really hoping for the cream color, but that is a small price to pay. Hopefully it washes well.
