Kind Menstrual Cup

I'm pretty new to menstrual cups but these are very easy to clean and I like that it comes with two sizes. My periods have been all over the place since having kids so I don't quite know what I need from month to month, and having a small size allows me to get used to using the cups at all first. The silicone on these cups is soft and very flexible. The up front cost is pretty surprising but I feel much more comfortable knowing I'm using a quality product, and it won't take long to pay for itself. I plan to use these alongside period underwear to reduce both my environmental impact and monthly costs.

Comfortable and easy to use!

Love these! This was my first time using a menstrual cup, but I'll definitely be using them again! It took a little practice before I was able to get them in correctly, but once I did you could hardly tell they were even in! I also tried a different brand to compare the two and I preferred this one by far! These menstrual cups are thinner than the others which I think makes them easier and more comfortable to get in. They also are at more of an angle which seemed to help when it came to sealing correctly. Being thinner, it was easier to compress to get them back out too. I also like how the stem is longer than the others as well which made it easier to get out. I do recommend using a tiny amount of water based lube on the rim when inserting. It made a world of difference with me! They are also super easy to clean and compact! Highly recommend.

Leakage Issues

I'm trying to like this cup. As a long time cup user, I like the idea of it a lot, but for some reason, it isn't working for me. I've had more leaks unfortunately. I've tried to use it for two cycles and have switched back to my old up because it hasn't felt dependable. As far as the comfort level, this one (I use the larger one) is mostly comfortable. If anything the stem is too long, but it's always nice to feel like it won't get "lost" and it can always be cut down. This cup is far softer than other cups I've used. It is very easy to get in and out (sometimes too easy!) so if you struggle with other cups, you may like this one. I'm wondering if my problem is that I'm having trouble getting it to "seal" because it is so soft (the other ones sort of "snap back" in order to seal super easily in my experience).I'm going to keep trying because I love that it is sustainable and made in the USA and I like that it "takes the pressure off" more than other cups. I will update this review if I can figure out the leak thing and make it work for me.

A long-time Diva Cup user converted

I've been a fan of reusable menstrual products ever since I got my first Diva Cup a decade and a half ago, and I was curious how these cups from Kind would compare. So far I've only used the small from this set as it fits me well and has adequate capacity. (I use a size 1 in the Diva Cup, for reference.) I prefer the shape of the Kind Cup; I've partially switched to an Ecoblossom Disc to avoid the sensation of pressure on my bladder I often experience with the Diva Cup, but this cup design largely mitigates to issue. It took a couple of tries to get the hang of inserting the Kind Cup, but now it is is no trouble. It isn't harder to insert than the Diva Cup, just not what I'm used to.The rim tends to open very easily, and the slanted design means I had to figure out the right fold and hand position to get it up where it belongs before that happens.I'm not a fan of the extra-long stem. I can see why a beginning cup user who is accustomed to tampons might find it reassuring to be able to readily feel the stem, but I don't like that it is so noticeably there. It is soft and isn't pokey like the Diva's firmer, hollow stem, which I had to trim down considerably, but it still bugs me a little. I'm going to give myself another cycle to get used to it before violating the instructions and trimming it.Removal is also a bit different from the Diva. The Kind doesn't have ridges on the outside of the lower portion of the cup for grip, which can make grasping it to break the seal a little trickier. Once I pinch it in the correct spot, though, there's an inner vertical ridge along the front that helps collapse the cup and break the suction. That's pretty clever, but I do still wish there were some ridges or texture on the outside to help reduce issues of slipperiness as well.Overall, I quite like the comfort of this cup and anticipate using it for years to come. My Diva Cup is getting relegated to an emergency backup option since the shape of this works better with my anatomy.
