I rely on having a clear and focused mind. I'm pretty much useless without it. I've been looking into nootropics and mushrooms in particular to help me focus when I can't quite get going. This supplement has all the right ingredients (cordyceps, lion's mane, reishi, maitake, shitake, and chaga). I've been using variations of these mushrooms over the last month and have had good results with focus and mental clarity. I feel better about using plant derived supplements than synthetic ingredients that I would need a chemistry degree to understand. I can't say this particular supplement helps anymore than others I have tried. However, I've had a few of their products and they all seem well made, so I trust a company that has been consistent in their quality more than a generic supplement company.

I tried one of these The Nue Co. Mushroom Capsules after a meal and didn’t get any allergic reaction or ill effects. I like this type of mushroom supplement because they’re usually just ground mushrooms in capsules. It’s apparently just mushrooms in the main Supplement Facts box on the bottle. Just below that box, is Other Ingredients: Brown Rice Flour, Capsule (HPMC [Hydroxypropyl-Methyl Cellulose]). Below that is the statement: May contain soya. An online search about HPMC that the capsule is made from, indicates it’s a semisynthetic dietary cellulose fiber, and that it’s vegan. I’m guessing it’s the capsule that may contain soy. I try to avoid soy, but a possible small amount in the capsule isn’t a deal breaker for me.I’m familiar with the company name The Nue Co. and looking at their website gives me confidence that the supplement was made with integrity. First of all, anytime you're getting supplements it is very important to look into the company you're buying it from. Sometimes they are little overnight spinoffs and come from sketchy sources with little or no online presence. Let me save you the trouble and tell you this is a high quality company. It's a small local business and their website is very well made and has a ton of information about their processes and whatnot. They even list out the source of every ingredient in all their products. I trust this company for supplements. As for this particular bottle, I'm very impressed by the amount of each type of mushroom packed into each capsule. For example, with Reishi alone, they have 5 times the mg that I'm seeing in another supplement I have that ONLY delivers Reishi. This is a great way to get all the super mushrooms at once.
