Effective, but with caveats

This product from Himalaya is very effective. It will definitely give you a mental boost. I find myself remembering more information, getting more done, and actually seeing more sharply. When taking this product regularly (daily, up to 4 pills per day), I find it easier to keep up the pace at work, rapidly moving from one task to the next. There are a few caveats however: 1. It has a really funky smell/taste. Take it long enough, and that smell will start coming out in your sweat. 2. Do not combine this product with Cordyceps mushrooms. The two combined in my case produced agitation, irritability, and increased heart rate. 3. This product will not make you feel less tired, but it will help you keep going when you are tired. 4. It is best to take breaks when taking this product, so you do not stay in a continuously stimulated state. I take it full dose 5 days a week, and then go off it on the weekends. Others may have different experience, but that's mine after taking this for about 5 months.

I GOT MY MIND BACK!!

I ran out of the Himalya Bacopa (the one with only bacopa in it) months ago and just didn't think to buy it. I noticed during the time without it my memory got so bad. I felt spaced out all the time, when people would talk to me I would zone out immediately, even when I was driving I would zone out almost completely. There were times when I would be studying or reading and I felt like my brain would just stop working and I had to just stop because I couldn't understand anything. It was very frustrating because i'm only 24. Because I am bi polar I have memory problems and Bacopa was helping a lot, but I stopped taking it for so long I couldn't remember what I was missing! lol. I prayed to God to help me and I found this product that has Bacopa & Got Kola (which I have taken on its own as well and helped a lot) It has only been literally a week and I feel like I have my mind back! I can think clearly, I can focus more when people are talking to me, I feel very happy, and I have alertness and high mental energy.I truly believe these wonderful herbs are a gift from Jehovah God, and that is why they work so well! I also take ashwaghanda that helps with anxiety and to calm my thoughts, St. Johns Wort to give me a stable mood, and I drink Kefir daily which helps amazingly well to create serotonin and makes my anxiety almost no existent. Give nature a try please, you have to find what works for you, and you won't be disappointed. :)

Mixed Results But Has Potential: A Shrink's Review

I like to try various supplements on occasion to see if they might aid what they claim to. For a while I had been taking Gardenia Cambodia to help with weight but found that the increased serotonin from it also led to a more even mood and calming effect. Since the primary ingredient in this supplement is said to increase serotonin (feel good hormone in the brain) I was curious to see if it had similar results. I decided to take only 2 pills in the morning and not take the pm dose. After a couple of weeks I found that these did contribute to a slight increase in energy but did not feel that my focus had improved. Around this time I also became more sensitive to caffeine because I was jittery after drinking my normal dose of coffee in the morning. Within a week of this I noticed that my dreams became somewhat more intense and unpleasant. For me, these changes told me that the supplement does effect serotonin because a change in dream quality is a common side-effect. Also, this supplement might very well have a positive effect on a person's ability to focus (even though I didn't), but because everyone's brain chemistry they might not experience it. As a therapist, I have known many individuals who respond differently to medications, so keep this in mind when you're taking it. If you're concerned about any possible side-effects, I might suggest the single AM dose to start. The negative PM reaction that some have reported might be the result of the serotonin and supplement levels decreasing. Again, each person responds to medications and supplements differently. If you decide to take this slow and try it for a couple of months, just be sure to be consistent with when you take it, make deliberate changes to your regimen, and give the change a few weeks to be in full effect. This is how a doctor is going to approach the situation to see if a med works. In fact, they often like to check in with their patients after a week.Hope this helps.
