Ok, for starters, this is not a typical "sunless tanning lotion". While it does provide an instant tan effect, there is no DHA in it that develops after a few hours of wear. Essentially, this is a skin makeup or washable tan.The product does have a pleasant scent that doesn't get funky after a few hours like other tanners with DHA. I found that it transferred onto clothing garments about the same as my other (DHA) sunless tanners with instant bronzer. It also washed out as easily, not staining.This product is expensive, especially considering it does not include an application mitt. I regularly sunless tan so I have mitts and brushes but for those that don't. application without will likely leave a streaky, blotchy effect. It's much easier to get an even application with a good tan mitt.I have ghostly white skin and avoid the sun due to a spot of skin cancer years ago. I rely on products like this to help achieve a healthy glow without the sun. It's a lot of preparation and effort applying a coat of sunless tan evenly all over the body. That's too much time and effort for me to apply a product that washes off, leaving no developed color behind. Sure, you don't have to worry about patchy tans or orange ankles and hands but you have to apply it every time.I spend (or waste) enough time on grooming and personal care to want to add a time consuming product like this to my routine. I guess it will come in handy if I have to wear some more revealing clothing during the cold winter months and need an instant tan.The color looked good on some parts of my body and a little dirty on other parts. I will work on my application to see if I can correct this. If this product is anything like a typical sunless tanner in respect to product expiration, the bronzing effect can change as the product loses freshness. I do see that the formula has some ash tones (green tinged) but I hope that this doesn't increase as the product degrades.
