Surprisingly gentle!

For those who want to rejuvenate coarse, tangled, dull hair, I can recommend both the Bio Silk shampoo and conditioner. I was really pleased that it solved some of my more vital hair problems and was free of parabens and sulfates!Bio Silk conditioner is a superior detangler. For those with long hair, you know how hard it is to find any detangler that works well and does not leave your hair weighted-down or dull. I use both the Bio Silk shampoo and conditioner and appreciate the fact that it actually restores the texture and appearance of my hair. Even if I use a different shampoo or don’t feel the need to condition, I prefer to finish with a pump-ful of Bio Silk at the ends of my hair to ease my comb-out. It tames my damp-weather Pacific Northwest frizz and I imagine it would work as well on curly hair. I find both the shampoo and conditioner to be surprisingly gentle on my scalp.There is an issue with the fragrance: upon opening it does have a strong smell (for me, it’s a 1950’s salon smell) not exactly unpleasant, but distinct. Well, the good news is that the smell dissipates in a couple of weeks (oxygen-exchange?) and mellows into a citrus/woodsy scent (as opposed to a floral.)
