Lathers great and rinses out easily - left hair dry and stripped needing conditioner

After washing full shoulder length hair it left the hair feeling dry and stripped as well as knotted demanding a follow up with conditioner. On short crew cut hair it lathers up and works like any soap or shampoo would/should and creates no need for follow up conditioning. Hair type and length plays a roll in outcome and effectiveness. What works for one works much better for another. Short hair types will likely find/report the best results. 4/5 for effectiveness.
