MARLOWE. No. 141 Shave Cream - Soothing Aloe Citrus, Shea Butter & Coconut Oil - 6 oz

This shaving cream has given me the closest & smoothest shave I've had in a long time (at least 5 years), & I've tried at least 6-7 different brands of shaving cream in these last ~5 years. My face feels as smooth as a newborn baby's cheeks after shaving with this cream. However, the only flaw of this product that I've observed is that it can cause a slight skin irritation (a mild burning sensation) if I don't wash my face off immediately after a shave. That said, there has not been any facial appearance changes (e.g. skin rashes, redness) due to the aforementioned irritation, & as long as I wash my face or shower right away, I can easily avoid any irritation.Bottom line - I'm still highly satisfied with the purchase, I think I finally found a shaving cream that gives me the best looking & most comfortable shave, & I'll likely make this my default shaving cream.

This is one of the better shave creams I've tried. I've been looking for a replacement for a discontinued product. It's completely clear when it goes on, which I don't prefer, but rubbing it in a bit turns it white enough to have some contrast. It is very slick and helps the blade move smoothly but unlike some others out there, doesn't leave any oily residue on my hands or face. I'd make this my go-to if it wasn't for the crazy high price. So instead, I'll keep a bottle around for special occasions.

This stuff is great! Quick background, I have thick hair and sensitive skin, so finding products that work has been a journey. Cremo is great, but I found I had to use a ton of it for good results. Now this Marlowe shave cream with Prorasso pre-shave cream, Personna Med-Prep Blades, and a Viking Blades Emperor Augustus razor is about as good as it's gotten for me so far.Tube will probably last a while. I use about a quarter-sized dollop. Make sure to lather it up a bit, but you definitely don't need a brush.

Product performs fine but there is nothing amazing about it especially for $14. "Average" immediately comes to mind for how to describe the overall quality of this cream. For instance, the cream is not thick, but it provides average slickness for the razor. It has a pleasant scent. The cream is easy wash away (because it is thin.)I have tried a lot of shaving creams some of which were more expensive than this one. None, let me repeat that again, none are as good as Cremo’s original barber grade shaving cream. Cremo costs less than half the price of Marlowe. Cremo is very thick, is extremely slick and has a light pleasant scent, whereas Marlowe is thin and has average slickness.I do not work for Cremo. I do not have any angle to say this other than to point out a product that is far superior to this $14 Marlowe cream. It is a poor value. I would only buy it again if Cremo was unavailable and if it was around the $6 price point.

I'm in my mid twenties and I've been shaving my head for two years now. I figure if I'm gonna shave my head, I may as well do it every day and make it look good, right? Well when you spend an hour or two a week shaving you start looking to make the best out of the experience. And so my quest began! To find the best products to give me a quick, painless, and smooth shave. As far as razors go, I recommend the Defender Razor program (it's the same as Dollar Shave Club, except each blade on the head can pivot, and more space is left between each blade so that hair doesn't get clogged and need rinsing nearly as often. It's pretty great honestly). And as far as shaving creams and butter go, you guessed it, this has become my go-to. A little goes a long way, and the best thing I've found is to buy a couple silicon facial scrubbers, apply some cream to the scrubber, and really massage it in for a minute or two. Doing so has made shaving a breeze and SUBSTANTIALLY decreased ingrown hairs and irritation on my neck.
