Hair Serum | Hydrating Shine Serum Travel Size

This product made my straightened hair so smooth and shiny! And it smells lovely.As with another Masami product I’ve tried, I didn’t find this product particularly effective against frizz, however.I have long, naturally curly, course, color-treated hair. In its natural state, it’s a pile of frizz. So on days when I want to take the time to straighten it, I need to make sure it doesn’t revert to its natural state. I tested this product on two separate straightened days.The first time, I took a chance and used it as my only “frizz management” product. I applied it once my hair had dried naturally, then straightened it with a straightening iron. The result was lovely, smooth, shiny hair that didn’t feel dry at the ends at all. So that was great. But then I went outside in the humidity. When I came back in, my hair was still mostly straight, but it was definitely frizzed up pretty good. So, this product did not do so well as a sole frizz preventer.The second time, I wasn’t taking any chances. I applied this product as before, to hair that had dried naturally after washing, then straightened with a straightening iron. Then I coated my hair in my proven humidity protectant hair spray. Under the same conditions, this time, my hair looked much, much better after being outside in the humidity. Still shiny, smooth and straight, and with far less frizz than the first time.The verdict: This product is a great choice as a shine serum, offers heat protection while styling, and gave me shiny, smooth hair that smelled wonderful. Just don’t depend on it as the only product you use to keep the frizz away.
