The scent of this is very nice, so carrying it in your suitcase or carry-on will give everything a nice mild scent. I need this, traveling around with a bar conditioner is essential and environmentally good. A few rubs in the hair and it works fine.

I am actually shocked. I have used bar shampoo and conditioner bars before and wasnt impressed as they left a waxy residue. I decided to try one more time. But I can honestly say these do not leave a residue! I have used the set of J&L Naturals shampoo and conditioner bars exclusively for several weeks now and my hair is in better shape then it was before hand.I have long, bleached, straight, overly oily scalp type hair.The shampoo bar cleans so well and suds up into a nice lather from the start. The first few showers, it seemed to strip my hair of old residue but didnt damage it. The conditioner bar works well so only use on your midshaft and ends. Its got a light shea butter feel to it but the bar is hard. You will have to get used to the feel of your natural hair not it coated in silicone like other conditioners can have in them. So you end up with clean hair thats not weighed down. I am very happy with this set and will be buying more to replace them. So far the bars stay solid in the shower caddy and it seems like they are going to last a couple months with just 1 person using them.

I only just recently began trying shampoo bars, so I ordered this to try with the corresponding shampoo bar. My hair is thick and color-treated with waves and curls, so I always need to condition my hair for detangling at the very least. This conditioner bar lathered easily and provided a good amount of conditioner on my hair with little effort. I was able to use my wet comb on my hair to detangle before rinsing, and my hair was soft without being heavy after I was done.After washing and conditioning my hair, my hair reacted well with my regular styling products (not always a guarantee since some leave your hair stiff and coarse if you have used an unknown shampoo and conditioner). That was very reassuring since I will be able to bring this conditioning bar in a regular travel soap dish for our trip. The conditioning bar is larger than the shampoo bar (YAY!) which goes to show that the makers understand that for some reason, shampoo amounts never seem to equal conditioner amounts, and that you need a bit more conditioner in every set.The fragrance of this conditioner is pretty and light. It could almost be a bit too light, but that's probably a good thing given sensitivities. I will absolutely be buying this conditioner bar again!!
