Zinc Oxide(sunscreen Grade)

Zinc Oxide(sunscreen Grade)

Medium Risk

Zinc oxide (sunscreen grade) is a mineral compound often used in sunscreens for its ability to provide broad-spectrum UV protection. It is micronized to improve its cosmetic feel and skin application, making it suitable for various formulations, including those designed for sensitive skin.

Sustai Insights

Zinc oxide offers effective UV protection and is generally considered safe for topical use; however, it has moderate concerns related to allergies and potential skin absorption. Regulatory bodies have noted use restrictions, particularly in specific formulations. While its environmental impact is relatively low, concerns about enhanced skin absorption warrant caution. Overall, the risk level is assessed as medium, and users are advised to follow safe application practices. Alternatives such as titanium dioxide may provide similar benefits with potentially lower allergenic risks.

Easy to use - clean ingredients

Two year old loves this face stick. Easy to use and lasts a long time. We love it has clean ingredients too! A little on the expensive side but recommend for the clean ingredients and how well it works. We use it on the back of neck, ears, face, and sides of neck. Haven’t had to reapply earlier than about every 5/6 hours.

Great product and moisturizer!

I honestly don't mind the smell, it's very earthy like clay, but I love those natural smells so not a problem for me and it dissipates quickly! It's better to have a natural scent than toxic fragrance. However, it is definitely oily, so if you have an issue with oils on your face, this may aggravate you. Otherwise, it's very protective and efficient.
