Was not expecting how it would change my smoothies

Been trying to really increase my protein intake. I add 0% fat Greek yogurt and a doc suggested whey protein to my smoothies. It's frozen strawberry, mango, yogurt, splash of juice and dash of honey.Today I added the powder hesitantly. Just half a scoop. And I could taste it. It just made the smoothie taste a little more milky and creamy approaching the sensation of a milkshake. But the bonus was it also changed the texture so it was fluffier! It wouldn't even fit in the glass.I was hoping I wouldn't taste it at all but it actually improved my smoothie's taste. I almost want to save my smoothies for after dinner now so I can have them for dessert.Very impressed.Update: added it to my pasta dinner (linguini with parmesan mixes into the pasta water making a light Alfredo. Added about 2 Tbsp.) Made it slightly Creamier. This is my new favorite thingMy one gripe is that a serving is a "scoop" so it's kind of awkward working out how much you're using when you don't want a whopping 130 calories added to your diet and just a little extra protien.

edit: Not Quite What I was Hoping For

I was hoping this would be the unicorn: a protein supplement that is 1) unflavored 2) unsweetened 3) inexpensive.I want something to use this in place of the plant based protein powder I have been using that was unsweetened but rather expensive and not super tasty. Based on reviews I thought I'd try thins but I have to say I'm really on the fence.It's o.k. stirred into Greek yogurt but I don't love the flavor and find I need to add a lot to fruit to mask it. Not the worst thing but not ideal.I tried putting some in oatmeal like I do with my other protein powder and it curdled, so I guess you can't use this in anything hot. Breakfast ruined but lesson learned. I'll make it through this bag but I can't imagine buying it again so the search for a palatable protein supplement continues....EDIT: Changing my mind about this stuff. I tried this in a smoothie and it's actually really good - not gritty at all which is rare for protein powder. So as long as I use it in cold things it's a good go to! I'm going to try overnight oats to see if it will work that way.
